What is a Glock MOS model?

A Glock MOS model means it’s an Optics Ready Glock. MOS stands for Modular Optic System. Glock machines their slide to accept adapter plates so you can put different pistol red dots with different footprint on the gun.

What’s the difference between a Glock Doublestack MOS and the Glock 43X/48 MOS?

The doublestack Glock MOS models have a proprietary “MOS” cut slide and then use adapter plates to fit a variety of different pistol optics. The Glock 43X/48 MOS have an RMSc footprint machined into the slide.

How many Glock MOS models are there?

There are a lot and in the future there will probably be even more. Glock makes pistols in all different sizes, full size, compact, sub compacts, micro compacts, and long slide/competition versions. As of right now Glock has the largest selection of optics ready pistols in the 9MM caliber, but do have models in the 10mm, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP Caliber.
